FAQ
During the Starting-up Process
Possible Cause(s) | Solution(s) |
1. Backward installation of batteries. |
1. Refer to the "+, _" mark (on the ESC/battery) and plug the battery in. |
2. The input voltage was beyond the ESC operating voltage. |
2. Refer to the user manual and plug in a suitable battery. |
Possible Cause(s) | Solution(s) |
Poor contact between the ESC and battery connectors. |
Reconnect all the connectors between ESC and battery or replace those connectors |
Possible Cause(s) | Solution(s) |
The battery voltage was beyond the normal operationg voltage range of the ESC. |
Check the battery voltage. |
Possible Cause(s) | Solution(s) |
There was no throttle signal output from the TH channel of receiver. | Check if the transmitter and receiver are well bound, if the throttle cable has been plugged into the wrong channel or reversely plugged into the TH channel on the receiver. |
Possible Cause(s) | Solution(s) |
The throttle stick was not moved to the bottom position or the throttle range was too narrow. |
Move the throttle stick to the bottom position or recalibrate the throttle range. |
Possible Cause(s) | Solution(s) |
Set the direction of throttle channel wrongly. |
Refer to the transmitter manual and re-set the direction of throttle channel. |
In Operation
Possible Cause(s) | Solution(s) |
Reversely connected those ESC-to-motor wires. |
Swap any two wire connections between the ESC and motor. |
Possible Cause(s) | Solution(s) |
1. The throttle signal was lost. |
1. Consult with transmitter manufacturer, or change another transimtter that can control longer distance/wider range. |
2. The LVC protection was activated. |
2. Change another bettery. If it's NiMH, then please set the "battery type" to "NiMH". |
3. The ESC temperature was too high and got the thermal protection activated |
3. Continue to use the ESC after it cools down |
4. Poor contact between the ESC and motor connections or the ESC and battery connection. |
4. Check if all the gold-plated connectors are loose or poorly soldered. |
Possible Cause(s) | Solution(s) |
Strong magnetic interference from the surrounding environment. |
Please try to disconnect ESC from t battery, and then reconnect it to battery. |
Relevant Settings
Possible Cause(s) | Solution(s) |
1. Reversely plugged the programming cable into the port on program box or plugged the programming cable into the wrong port on program box. . |
1. Refer to the silkscreen mark beneath/above the program port on the program box and plug the programming cable in. |
2. The ESC is not compatible with the program card/box. |
2. Refer to the ESC manual and change another program card. (Note: the ESC is only compatible with LED program card.) |
3. Something wrong with the ESC or the program card. |
3. Return the ESC/program card to factory for repair. |
Possible Cause(s) | Solution(s) |
1. Plugged the throttle cable into the wrong channel like ST channel or some other channel on the receiver. |
1. Plug the throttle cable into the channel marked with "TH" letters on the receiver. |
2. Reversely plugged the throttle cable into the TH channel on the receiver. |
2. Check the corrensponding mark on the receiver and then plug in the throttle cable correctly. |
3. Set the throttle range on the transmitter improperly. |
3. Reset the throttle range on the transmitter to the default. |
